Well chnx and I talked about making this thread a long time ago but nvr got the tym (and interest) to do it. But lately I've encountered a few and I'm starting to get pissed.
Many children, mostly ages 8-11 or maybe still in grades 4-6, are already saying "fuck you" or "bitch" so normally that its starting to bug me. I mean where'd they even learn the words? Mainly I think the cause is the internet.
So what do u think? Should the kids be scolded or at least told not to say it or should we just leave them alone?

Scolding them is just effective for a day or even less..... They hear it everywhere. So it won´t help at all.

When I went in the internet cafe...I saw a group of kids. They are like 10 to 12 years old. They went in the internet cafe to play counter strike and some are surfing in the internet to check their myspace account (my god, 10 to 12 years old know already on how to modify their myspace).
the other kids who are playing counter strike are mostly makes a green conversations like "Fuck", "Bitch","bullshit"
This are their conversations
Boy 1: Shoot him you son of the bitch Boy 2: I'm doing it damn it Boy 1: FUCK...you died bcuz of a stupid bomb...you suck Boy 2: Well...I'm better than you are...
Just like that...though this is not my first time.. that I've seen it or heard it...

Well let me tell you a story...a true story...
a boy who is addicted of shooting games, you can say that he's a gamer.. One day, he saw a gun...a real gun but he though that it was a toy gun (I dont really know all the details).
He pointed the gun to his mother and say
Boy: Eat this mother..BANG BANG
*sounds of a bullet*
The mother was shot on the chest..luckily they immediately grab her to the hospital..
The boy is confuse on what happen...
I'm not making a joke...this is a true story

Whats wrong here is the children itself...I don't blame their parents bcuz they are trying their best for their child anyway.
What they see, they do What they do, they act What they act, there's a consequences

Well, to tell you the truth, society in changing..... Both parents working full time is normal..... and so they would have no time to take care of their children.... some of them don't even know what goes on around their kids.....
The kids hear foul language.... there are no parents to correct them (to even tell them that it's wrong).... so they think it's acceptable... and they learn from it. If the parents made an effort to correct their children, none of this would happen.
[whisper=admin,arizth,asaforever,bcb262,beware,chandi,darkhunter,eric,jorgebonafe,legix,lou212,mikep,pandhud,princesyaoran,ryuushin,timmy310m]To give another example.... How many of you are of legal age? So more than half of you are under 18, and yet have access to adult content (heck, some of you "kids" even post adult content!). Do you see the problem here?[/whisper]

What do we learn from this idiotic parents? Never keep ammo where the gun is or in the gun. But to the point, this is not unsusual in anyway. I hear little kids speaking like that at work all the time and if it gets disturbing enough, I tell them to shut up.
You hear swearing everywhere, TV, radio, internet so there's nothing to do about it.

*sigh* I'm not one to be a spokesperson, considering I learned those at young age, but the reason, I agree with dark, are the working parents, but not only that, but also media. take for example (my brother would say I'm being biased) rap. Rap music teaches kids to say vulgar and slang, and also to disrespect women and that being "gangster" is cool and that the only life for them is the "ghetto" life. So my brother wouldnt have anything to say, even rock has bad influences, for example some very dark and somewhat vulgar lyrics, sometimes satanic messages are percieved. next example: TV. television ( yes even anime) has some very disturbing things, and once again, because the rap community and culture seems to be famous and popular, a lot of those things are shown and introduced on tv(the same examples come forth). In anime, for example, you hear stories of children in Chili watching Yu-Gi-Oh, in the battle-city arc, and then "sacrificing themselves and two others for the Egyptian Gods". A bit more recent(a month or so ago) in Belgium, there was this homocide case, where the killer left a note saying "Watashi wa Kira desu". Here's a link: www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8S1GBE80&show_article=1&cat=0The point is, the media is the greatest influence on all these things, after all, would a kid watch news? Why do you think it's so appropiate? because it's supposed to be, it's not supposed to attract all kinds of children and teenagers to watch, though adults encourage us to watch it more often. Most children of high-class(poise, etiquette, classical music only, private-school) don't have the same kind of vulgar other kids do, mostly because of their media and upbringing. Oh yeah, one more thing, kids with really childish 12 year old comments (like ur mom or stuff like that) really pisses me off, thinking they're very mature using those words, but in fact it proves how childish they are >_<

People who let media and social preasure alter their mind too much deserve to be looked down upon.

that is indeed true... but the media should be careful what they put for the public also, knowing full well that they are extremely influentual

Or rather parents should mdoerate what they let their children watch. Don't blame it on media. It's the same than blaming Grand Theft Auto for school massacres.

yup, but like my brother said, one half of the problem is the working parents of this generation, alway wanting what's best for their children but never doing what's best. like that mother that bought all those guns for the kid(he has more varieties than the U.S. Army)
