I would like to inform the members of Gamepatchrpg of a recently started project by Selkirk to translate the game of prism ark. He is using a wiki translation system where any person wishing to help with the translation may participate in the translation process. Prism ark is a 18+ eroge visual novel style game with a certain RPG element to it. It's a sequel to the game prism heart with all new characters. The wiki site for his project is hereThis is a fanbased project much like gamepatch's project to translate the Shuffle! game. I post this to encourage japanese translators, editors ect to give a helping hand to Selkirk to speed the translation of the game. So far they are figuring a way to extract the raw text from the game. Spread the news guys and keep the spirit and motivation for translating the game alive!!

You just had to break the site layout, didn't you. And I doubt you'll find any translators here.

Is it really that broken?
I see it just fine...on an old 800 by 600, I should add.
Anyway, what is Prism Ark, anyway? Wiki'ing it gave me nothing.

lol sorry guys for breaking the layout.. Was pretty excited over the translation of the game.. It's a great game. The CG and background are fully animated, incorporating both the classic style visual novel system with an rpg gameplay. An interesting feature of this game is also that the levels you gain as you progress through each girl's route remains the same when you restart the game to try another girl's route. That means that you become stronger the more times you play through the game allowing you to beat bosses or characters that you couldn't beat the first time and unlocking more game content.
I played through a bit of it using AGTH and a limited knowledge of japanese. So I can't wait for the translation.
Also Youko I wasn't posting this mainly to recruit translators (that is more of a bonus should any japanese translators stumble onto this) the main reason I made this thread is to advertise this amazing game, play it, enjoy it and support the group that's translating the game for us...
Also if you guys are interested there is a anime adaptation currently running also called Prism Ark look it up although the anime is no where near as good as the game (emphasis on No WHERE)
@youko: As critical of people as always I see... Rather then commenting on how I broke the layout (Which I admit I did) you could of contributed somewhat to the discussion at hand, which is prism ark the game......... Anyway hoping for some more discussion on the game..
Seriously guys check it out, it's a good game, has great CG and graphics as well as re-play value.

You get what you ask for. How can you say the anime is not as good as the game, since you don't understand a damn said in it? And hooking it only produces gibberis, thus breaking the art of writing completelly.
Some people might want to try it out, but these kinds of games are not my cup of tea.

Hey, you got me interested. Unfortunatelly it will be obviously a long time before the project is finished... On the other hand I woulnd't have time to play it now anyway, so big is my games to play queue XD About the layout... If you want a sugestion Holy, why dont you put your big images on a spoiler tag? that way people can see it full size and the layout will remain intact

And hooking it only produces gibberis, thus breaking the art of writing completelly. Some people might want to try it out, but these kinds of games are not my cup of tea. True that hooking only mainly produce gibberish, but you can get a general idea on what's going on, plus I have a limited understanding of japanese from watching anime so listening to the characters talk I can basically get a general idea of what's going on. Plus isn't it saying something about the game if I have to improvise most of the dialogue in the game and I still feel it's better then the anime? jorgebonafe: thanks, I did what you asked and it really helped. Now no more breaking the layout, happy Youko?

You cannot say something is better than something other, if you have no understanding of the other. Period.

On the contrary I do have a general understanding of the "other" from using AGTH and a general knowledge of japanese dialogue.

You don't know japanese and ATGH is just crap. Snap out of your delusions, please. What you think you learned from Anime, is only what you think the meaning of those words are. ATGH doesn't know how to produce rational sentences so there is a significiant loss.
What you are doing is like comparing a prefered item A to item B, which you only heard bad things about from someonee, thus would never prefer item B from that reason only and make you state how you dislike item B and how A is greater.

Have you even seen the anime Youko? The way they chose to tell the story was through a flashback at the first ep going back to their academy days as opposed to the game which starts lineally from the beginning..
You may say I don't understand japanese and that AGTH doesn't tell you crap but that's just your opinion. I feel I've gotten something out of the game using AGTH, off course that was before I found the game being translated, which I now wait for.
I honestly don't know why you are so quick to put people down. I honestly have nothing against you but it seem you are eager to turn a perfectly simple topic about a visual novel translation into an all out war based on differing ideals.
I'm going to stop arguing with you about this topic as I've known from experience that you are extremely stubborn, (and so am I) if we continue this back and forth argument it'll be easy to get swept away with the flow of things.
I made this thread to ultimately discuss about the Prism Ark game and it's subsequent translation and so lets get back to it.

You may say I don't understand japanese and that AGTH doesn't tell you crap but that's just your opinion. No shit, Sherlock. Whose others would it be? And nevertheless, it doesn't change the propable fact that you you are a japanophile. I can see the lips moving, but all that comes out is wind. You couldn't pass even a single test at conversation level or above. I feel I've gotten something out of the game using AGTH, off course that was before I found the game being translated, which I now wait for. Well duh, you get an idea what's going on. It doesn't really mean it's the right one. If you really understood what they are saying, like you claim, you wouldn't need to use any software for anything else except multiple choise parts. I honestly don't know why you are so quick to put people down. I honestly have nothing against you but it seem you are eager to turn a perfectly simple topic about a visual novel translation into an all out war based on differing ideals. Maybe if you lessened the ammount of bullshit down a little, I wouldn't have to make poor holygirl cry. Bottomline is, don't come here boosting your ego with unexisting skills you silly weaboo, since that's what ticks me off the most.
