What i don't like about the materia system is that i decreases your health and damage as it increases your magic attack...

I'd reccomend FF VII though, it has the best story line, I think... even though both materis and draw system is very interesting, i think ffVII inly lose becaues it lost of the graphics division. IF only square would make a remake on PC or PS2, FFVII would be owning!

what do you think about the ending? another thing: have you beaten Omega and Ultima weapon? I loved the ending, just as much I loved the game. Its like watching a movie About the weapon, I dont know wich one it was. The one on the island I killed, not the one near the end of the game. That one was simply impossible. I did try to kill it with gameshark codes later, though. I only hit him with squalls best limit break, only 9999 damage each hit. I think the battle lasted like 20 minutes. I dont see how that thing can be beaten in normal ways.

actually, you CAN beat it, i found the strategy after giving up twice. i alrady forgot mine tough, but you can kill both of them in less than 10 mins. at least i think you can still beat them, unlike sapphire weapon of ffVII, which is still hard even at lv 100.

woot? i take Ultima(the one on the island) down in 5 minutes, without cheats^^
1:Irvine->Melton 2:Rinoa->Aura on Squall 3:Squall->Multislash(Heartbreaker) then squall make Multi in every turn. The other 2 are constantly healing.
Ultima just got 1.120.000 HP, Heartbreaker does 200000 damage!

yeah, that kind of strategy does seem will work... that is if you already have squall's final limit... if you don't you're totally screwed, and doomed...

And Omega(at Ultimeticas Castle) is same way to kill. Just watch out of the 11000 dmg attack (can be evaded by levitas) it inflichts 11000 to all group members..
Just a hint: Create the 100 God-Potions aout of the Lagun Card... the last battles will just be tooooo easy then^^

Ultimeticas Castle Best fighting Team:Squall, Irvine, Rinoa (if not Rinoa than Quistis) The way to Omega Weapon: Place your fighting group to the group-change point at the fountain in front of the cathedral! Change your group then! Give only Diabolos to a single party member and head to the room, wheres a rope hanging from the roof to the floor. Pull the rope ->NOW YOU GOT JUST 1 MINUTE!!!! change group at the nearby changing circle. Give Diabolos back to a member of your choice and head into the cathedral. Omega is standing in front of the piano.
Run into Omega befor the timer reaches 0 and the hardest fight in FFVIII is going to start!
Hope i could help you with that^^
